My philosophy is to first appreciate each of my student's unique strengths, challenges, and what motivates them; and then design tasks and assignments to build their knowledge and skills from their perspective. I don't believe in loading them with work without first understanding what makes them tick.
My place is a 5-min sheltered walk from Serangoon MRT station. |

I taught English Language in secondary schools for 18 years.
I was given both Express and Normal (Academic) students, and I achieved value-added results for my students.
I am patient, have a keen understanding of my students, and constantly seek creative ways to motivate them. I was nominated for Inspiring Teacher of English Award in 2009.
I was also a Guidance Officer in MOE HQ for 3.5 years, after which I pursued a Master of Education (Developmental Psychology) at NIE to better understand my students and the learning needs some face.
My last posting was as Subject Head of Aesthetics in a school near by. |
